The Gate buildings mark the threshold between Aljada and the surrounding city. Prominently located next to the main access road, the buildings are designed to represent the notion of the city of Aljada within Sharjah city. The arrival experience into the development consists of a wide avenue with 30 m of landscape placed on an incline on both sides. The Gate buildings have a double skin facade, where the inner layer is a fully glazed facade. Vertical elements rise from the inclined landscape to form the second skin of the building. This outer facade is a visual filter between the street and the homes, providing the residents with privacy at the prominent location. Trees are strategically placed between these two layers and between the balconies of the different units. Thus, providing an additional layer of separation. The building contains a large digital screen on the elevation facing the main road that presents the ambiance of Aljada.
